How You Should Look in Your Passport Photo
Your passport photo must clearly show your face and meet the following requirements:
- Face forwards and look straight at the camera.
- Keep a plain expression and your mouth closed, unless an exception applies.
- Keep your eyes open and visible.
- Make sure no hair covers your eyes.
- Do not wear a face covering.
- Avoid shadows on your face or behind you.

Baby and Child Exceptions
Children have some exceptions to the standard passport photo requirements.

Children under 1 year old:

All children:
- Must appear alone in the photograph.
