Do I need a printed or digital passport photo?
If you apply for a UK passport online, you need a digital photo. If you apply using a paper form, you need two identical printed photos. We offer both digital passport photos and printed photographs at our Nottingham studio.
What size is a UK passport photo?
Printed UK passport photos must be 45mm high by 35mm wide. Digital photos must be at least 600 pixels wide and 750 pixels tall. Our photographers use the relevant specifications when preparing your passport photo.
Do you provide a UK passport photo code?
We provide digital passport photos as JPEG files for you to upload to your online application. We do not currently issue HM Passport Office photo codes. A digital image file and a photo code are two different services.
Can you photograph babies?
Yes. We offer baby and child passport photography at our Nottingham studio. Please book a dedicated baby or child session so we have enough time to capture a suitable photograph.
Can I wear glasses?
GOV.UK advises removing glasses for passport photos unless you need to wear them for medical reasons. If you must wear glasses, your eyes must remain clearly visible without glare or reflections.
Can I wear a religious head covering?
Yes. UK passport photo rules allow head coverings worn for religious or medical reasons. Your face must remain visible, with no shadows covering your facial features.
Do visa photos use the same size as UK passport photos?
Not necessarily. Visa photo requirements vary by country and application type. Please provide your visa photo specifications when booking so we understand the requirements for your application.
Where is the studio?
